Why same-day cash payment is the social mechanism, not an operational detail

In the informal chain, income is irregular because the buyer is irregular. Material is sold when an intermediary appears, at a price the collector cannot verify, sometimes days after the work.

Paying cash at the gate on the day of delivery converts that into a predictable relationship with a known price and a recurring industrial buyer. It is what makes the volume dependable for the plant and the income dependable for the collector, and it is the reason working capital is the binding constraint of the whole model.
